| Not disclosed - woman | cat rescued from a car engine | San Antonio, TX Bexar County |
March 17, 2008 |
A brave little cat rescued from a car engine is now in need of a home. Last month, a woman contacted the Animal Defense League about this cat, now named Blue. He was caught in the fan belt of her car's engine. They sent over a veterinarian who had to amputate Blue's front left leg to get him out safely.

than a month after the ordeal, he's healed and ready to be adopted. Guess cats
have at least two lives, if not nine.
You can adopt Blue or a pet like him from the Animal Defense League by contacting the agency.

No charges were filed against the woman as the cat entered the car engine to keep warm. However, pet owners need to be more aware of the dangers such as this of allowing your cats to roam free.
