Police said they arrested a Lincoln man on suspicion of felony animal abuse after his pit bull was stabbed in the head and neck.
A woman told police her live-in boyfriend, Anthony Hollman, 48, was drinking and poking their pit bull. She said the dog got angry, biting Hollman in the leg.
Police said the woman told them Hollman hit the dog with a broomstick and then stabbed the dog repeatedly in the head and side. A 15-year-old in the house also witnessed the stabbing.
Police said the dog was treated for its injuries.
Hollman was charged with animal abuse and child abuse.
