Ana Reyes Crespo tossed a pup to its death Bayamón, Puerto Rico June 20, 2008

A young woman was facing potential animal cruelty charges after allegedly tossing her dog to its death at a veterinary clinic in Bayamón, police reported.

According to a police report, Bayamón resident Ana Reyes Crespo, 18, brought her Siberian Husky puppy to the Rexville veterinary clinic to be treated for anemia.

After her request for a payment plan was denied, witnesses allege Reyes Crespo grabbed the puppy and tossed it into a ravine between 20 feet and 30 feet deep behind the clinic.

The dog, which was less than 2 months old, was recovered dead from the ravine, according to police.
