A puppy left for hours in a van at Ford City Mall while his
owner shopped, died on Tuesday afternoon, August 2nd. His leash
strangled him as he thrashed around in the heat.
Authorities charged Coret Cruz of the 4300 block of West Marquette
Road, with cruelty to an animal. He faces a fine of up to $500 and six months
in jail if convicted.
