Puppy left in trunk of car

David Lampley and Kimberly Evans have been charged with one count each of animal cruelty.

Florence Police Major Carlos Raines states that Lampley put a puppy in the trunk of his car while the pair went into the Piggly Wiggly on Palmetto Street.  Major Raines stated that the car’s windows would not roll up and they could not take the puppy inside the grocery store, thus they locked the puppy in the trunk.

The puppy was found to be okay.
