| Eric Leeron Anderson | 1 found dead, 1 pitbull suffering from malnutrition | Natchez, MS | February 1, 2007 |
A young pit bull was found dead and another suffering from malnutrition at 339 Lower Woodville Road according to the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
Anderson, age 33, was arrested on charges of 2 counts of failure of an owner or custodian to provide sustenance.
The dead dog was chained to a tree. The Humane Society of Natchez-Adams County said at the time the dog probably died of exposure. The surviving pit bull was taken to the Humane Society.
The original arrest warrant was for Anderson's wife as the investigator felt that the husband was rarely home and the son was a minor. Since the dogs were in the wife's custodial care the affidavit was signed that way.
The HS was not notified of the name change until after Anderson's arrest. Anderson was released on his own personal recognizance.
