A rash of cat and dog torturing continues with the case of a cat who's tail was set on fire on the city's west side.
A letter carrier said some juveniles tortured the cat on El Paso St. The Animal Defense League was called and the female kitten, believed to be about 8-months old was rescued.

has identified the home where the juveniles live and arrests are expected.
Police report a disturbing rash of animal mutilations in the past month, including a cat that was burned with acid, a cat which was killed in Castle Hills and a dog that was stabbed on the city's east side.
An anonymous donor has allowed the ADL to up the reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible to $5,000. Anyone with information are asked to contact the San Antonio Police at 210-207-7484.
