George Tuilefano, age 24 received two first-degree murder counts for the shooting deaths of Raquel Rivera, age 20, Jay Johnson, age 22 and a 1-year-old pit bull-labrador mix dog. He was sentenced to 26 1/2 years in prison.
The dog's blood was found on a jacket belonging to John Leuluaialii, the co-defendant in this murder. It is believe to be the first case in the nation in which the DNA from the animal was presented as evidence.
