Dog tied to tree dies from heat

An Idaho Falls couple tied their dog to a tree on Saturday, July 22^nd, leaving it there for quite some time.  Upon returning, the heat had killed the dog.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office states the couple could face a maximum fine of $5,000 and at most, six months in jail.
