Talk show hosts encouraging animal cruelty and beastiality

Los Angeles, CA

August 10, 2006

(photo's of Holmberg and Bogen courtesy of KUPD)   The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has warned two talk show hosts at KUPD radio that they could face animal cruelty charges if they don’t stop encouraging acts of animal abuse and beastiality, for the second time - this time on Friday, August 10th.

The warning came from Sheriff Joe Arpaio after the hosts paid a listener $550 to eat peanut butter off the rectum of an English Bulldog authorities stated.

In February, Sheriff Arpaio investigated but did not file charges against the hosts, John Holmberg and Brady Bogen for telling listeners to steal from and set Valley gas stations on fire in retaliation for high prices.  KUPD had no comment on the warnings.

Sheriff Arpaio stated a beastiality law in Arizona takes effect on August 24th that could make the hosts’ actions a felony.
