2 dead dogs found in abandoned apartment

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested Jason J. Lovell, 21, on two counts of animal cruelty after finding two dead dogs in his abandoned apartment.  He is accused of leaving a Chihuahua mix and a Poodle mix unattended when he moved out of his apartment at 2480 Cypress Pond Road #803 Palm Harbor.

When Deputies arrived they were told that Lovell had not paid his rent and there was a foul smell coming from the apartment.  It appeared that the dogs have been dead for a significant length of time.

Lovell has been living in Tarpon Springs and admitted he had failed to adequately care for the dogs.
