(photo courtesy of the Martin County Sheriff's Office)   Trenta age 31, a transient Indiantown man is alleged to have had sex with a puppy.  The mixed-breed dog, a 4-month-old Argentine Dog is in foster care after being rescued from Trenta and placed in the care of the Humane Society of Treasure Coast.  The dog will remain in the custody of the HS until it is determined who actually owns the dog.

Trenta, DOB 4/28/75, is a Mexican citizen working as a day laborer was charged with 1 count of felony sexual beastialty and 1 count of felony animal cruelty.  He was also charged with 3 misdemeanor counts for giving a false name to deputies, exposure of sexual organs and possession of a marijuana pipe - case #432006 CF 943.

Trenta is in the Martin County Jail being held on $13,000 bail.  This is not Trenta's first time in jail, Florida's Dept of Law Enforcement records show that he spent 28 days in jail after pleading no contest to an Orange County misdemeanor larceny charge in 2005.

According the The Arrest Affidavit from the Martin County Sheriff's Office, Trenta told the booking deputies that he as Enrique Garcia.  After running his fingerprints through AFIS, it as confirmed that his real name is Junio Trenta.

There is a campaign on to have letters written to the Attorney assigned to the case  (See our alert on this) to have Trenta tried in a court of law in the US and not deported and freed in Mexico.

Update 6/22/06:

  (photo courtesy of the Martin County Sheriff's Office)  The dog remains at the Humane Society in good condition.  No one has come forward to claim the dog.  Trenta remains in the Martin County Jail.
