A witness called Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers to respond to shot fired.  The Officers found a dog shot in the mouth.

The witness told officers, 2 people ran from the scene on Mabel St. just after 1am.

The officers tracked them down to a house on Florence St. where they found the gun lying in the driveway.  No arrests have been made.

The dog suffered no major injuries and the case is still under investigation.
