11 Maltese dogs rescued from squalid conditions

After receiving reports from Kent Cliffs resident and a warrant from Kent Town Justice Joseph Esposito, the Putnam County Humane Society went to the home of Linda Nelson on Peekskill Hollow Road and rescued 11 Maltese dogs living in squalid conditions without food or water.

The dogs were found in poor condition.

Nelson has been charged with 11 counts of animal cruelty and animal abandonment.
