Puppy found dead in car

St. Augustine Police arrested 53-year old Mohamed Ramadan on Saturday, August 5th, after his new puppy was found dead in his car.  Police reported that a 4-week old puppy was given to Ramadan by a co-worker on Friday.  Just after 3 p.m. on Saturday, the co-worker came to work and noticed the puppy inside a cage in Ramadan’s vehicle.  The dog was in direct sunlight without water and not moving.

When Police Officers responded, they found that the puppy had died within the eight hours it had been left in the car with no ventilation.

Ramadan was arrested for animal cruelty and taken to St. Johns County Jail.
