Mitt Romney (former governor of Massachusetts and Presidential Candidate) put the family's Irish setter, Seamus, in a dog carrier and lashed it to the roof of his station wagon for the 12-hour trip from Boston to Ontario until a "brown liquid" ran down the back window. He then hosed the dog, the kennel and the car down with a borrowed gas station hose before returning to the road.

In his defense, Romney points out that he built a wind-deflection shield for the dog carrier. He also contends that Seamus enjoyed riding on top of the car.
Romney made his money from Bain Capital a business he cofounded, which is a private equity fund invested in steakhouses restaurants.
Romney's wife has campaigned for killing animals all for multiple sclerosis researchers.
When Romney first met his wife they were in elementary school and he was a Cub Scout; he remembers tossing pebbles at her when she rode by on a horse.
