A resident told police he thought someone had poisoned his dog after he found it dead Oct. 24 in his home in the N75-W13700 block of Appleton Ave. The man said he had received an anonymous letter Aug. 15 complaining about the dog barking. An autopsy by a veterinarian showed evidence of toxins in the dog's body, the man told police.
