Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies have arrested 13 people suspected of participating in a cockfight in Palmdale.

Sgt. David Sauer said deputies raided a residence in the Juniper Hills area Sunday morning after receiving a call from a neighbor.

Deputies found 250 birds on the property, 19 of them were dead.

Sauer said deputies also found cockfighting paraphernalia such as razor blades.
