A 911 call to report an incident of domestic violence between two sisters resulted in a San Francisco police officer shooting a Pit Bull Tuesday morning, August 1st.
Police Officers were responding to a call from neighbors who overhead screams and a physical confrontation at an apartment in the city’s Mission District around 6:45 a.m. Unable to get a response from the front door, the Officers attempted to enter the property through the yard. They were reportedly confronted by a neutered, mixed-breed Pit Bull. The dog bit one officer’s boot and the other officer shot the animal. The Pit Bull was taken to Pets Unlimited, a full-service pet care facility that offers emergency medical care. The dog sustained a gunshot wound to the chest but is in stable condition.
