5 Squirrel monkeys stolen 11 rare monkeys stolen from the Shaldon Wildlife Trust |

Thieves stole 11 rare monkeys from the Shaldon
Wildlife Trust. Among those taken was a 4-week-old goeldis monkey which was
clinging to its mother’s back. Others taken were 1 silvery marmoset, a squirrel
monkey and
3 cotton-top tamarins.
5 squirrel monkeys were taken on August 1st,
2004.
October 19, 2004:
Interpol has joined with wildlife agencies in the hunt for the now 16 monkeys taken.
