Opinion Forum -- Todd Clem Case:
From Rosalie 3/2/02: In the public's mind, seeds have been planted about animal cruelty and how to ELIMINATE IT. The level of consciousness of the public about animal cruelty has been elevated into the forefront of their hearts and brains. People we will never know of, or about, have been touched and inspired to help end this misery for animals.
From Margaret 3/3/02: Dear Bubba, Your notoriety has spread all the way to Australia. What sort of primitive creature are you? Wasn't it bad enough to cut the throat of a terrified pig? Did you really need to put him through the torture of being castrated as well? Did carrying out his act of barbarism make you feel more of a man? Bubba the pig is dead. His sufferings are over, but you have to live the rest of your life with the fact that in order to overcome your sense of inadequacy as a man, you had to inflict such grotesque suffering on a defenseless animal who had done you no harm and was powerless to resist. No wonder you are known as "Bubba", Bubba.
